Interview with Illinois 5th District GOP candidate Tom Hanson

Tom Hanson is running for the Illinois District 5 House seat and has won the GOP primary to run against incumbent Democrat Mike Quigley. The difference between the two men is vast, as Quigley is a Washington insider who has been there since 2009, while Hanson has been a real estate business owner. One provides jobs and another hobnobs with the Democrat elite. This is the choice in the Chicago area district.

Hanson Biography,

Here, via his campaign website, is Hanson's biography.

I’m Tommy Hanson, and I’m running for US Congress for the 5th District in Illinois because I love this community and believe in protecting its values.

I believe in fiscal responsibility, full funding of law enforcement, and common-sense growth. I was born in the city, raised on the North Shore, lived in the suburbs and then moved back to the city over 35 years ago. As a small business owner and family man, I have proudly been a part of the fabric of our great region my entire life. I believe in family and have always focused on the well-being of my family and those around me. I believe in community and have always been active in our community—working with people and organizations from every political and social part of life. I believe in giving back at every level. That is why I want to represent you in Congress.

It is obvious that our current approach is not working. Hundreds of thousands have fled the city, crime is rampant, businesses are boarded up, trains are half full, police morale is down while your taxes and cost of living are way up. We have to fix this and fix it quick.

I’m a businessman, husband and father that will effectively represent you and your concerns in DC. Please share our campaign with your friends and family that care about Cook and Lake Counties as well as cities such as Chicago, Des Plaines, Park Ridge, Lake Zurich, Barrington, Norridge, Lincolnwood, Elk Grove Village and Arlington Heights.”

Here, via the WTTW website, is a short about for more on his background.

Interview

RT: There is a need to control our own destiny when it comes to minerals, which the US keeps moving away from. What is the candidate’s stance and what would they do to fix this?

TH: We need to retain minerals, oil and gas, for US control and consumption rather than sell it to outside countries. More troubling are foreign owned interests in US mineral, oil and gas products.

RT: New businesses and small businesses are either killed or stunted by the control from large corporations. This is hurting the US Economy. How can this be fixed, in the eyes of the candidate?

TH: US owned an operated entities should be protected by imposing a tariff on companies of any size that want to outsource to foreign countries. Think the foreign owned call center for a large American bank. Tax incentives for mostly all US based staff and production could also be implemented.

RT: The insurance industry has become monopolized by a non profit group called NCQA that is pushing diversity needs that are raising the price to pay for the liberal agenda. How would the candidate combat this problem?

TH: ESG is harmful and ineffective. The insurance industry has fall for this agenda. DEI and all of the other acronyms are an issue for a productive American business climate. It defies the logic of good business practices and places emphasis on protocol over productivity.

RT: What can be done to stop the government doing actions that make the nation rely on totalitarian nations for needed resources?

TH: This is very simple, sanction those who choose to do business with totalitarian regimes.

RT: Spending, not taxation, is the biggest threat to the economy from what is done by the US government. We need to pay the debt and decide on what tax dollars are spent on in a more economical fashion. How does the candidate plan to address this?

TH: Years ago there was a 'line item veto' and that needs to be re-established. Our country should spend money they don't have. You and I have to stay on a budget and our country should do the same. They call it 'pork belly spending' and the line item veto could carve out these 'bridges to no where' and other funding that gets thrown in to unrelated bills.

RT: The US has stopped being able to educate their citizens without educators working to indoctrinate them. The lack of valid education is hurting innovation and causing other issues. What can be done to fix this?

TH: We are seeing a massive shift to home school to counter the issue in public and private schools. Also by cutting government loans to colleges and universities, pricing would go down, tenured fiefdom teachers would then exit the system when universities could no longer provide them with staggering wages. I think there are quite a few really exceptional teachers but they are forced to follow curriculum they don't believe in in order to keep their job. That inappropriate content comes from state appointed Dept of Education and the likes.

RT: Many groups want to control science by hampering any opinion the government does not agree with. How does the candidate want to change this trend?

TH: Speak what I believe or you will be canceled. . There is a large not-for-profit the government uses to label those who dare speak contrary to progressive liberal agenda. The labeling is Marxist and dates back to earlier in the 1900's. Absolutely we have to stop organizations from doing this, as well as corporations. AI will be the next forefront to challenge with free speech.
A man that understands business, especially the development of real estate, understands the situation of developing the nation for mining and industry. He has shown himself to understand the issues that go beyond the pop culture channels. This is someone to consider voting for that is not an insider to the Washington corruption, especially as it is hard to bribe self made men.

The government employee union with more power than the American people Part 6

To get members and dues for their political purposes, the SEIU has used illegal tactics over the years. They have been taken to court many times, yet they persist every chance they get. The reason they do this is to gain more and more power, along with grabbing as much money as they can from the members to use for political purposes. They have already stated how they are using all of this in the article I recently wrote, which means people need to know what is happening. Kaiser Permanente The SEIU and Kaiser Permanente worked together to force employees to join the union before 2006. Both were taken to court and smacked down. Here is what occurred, via a National Right to Work release.  In a victory for employee free choice, a group of workers aided by the National Right to Work Foundation have forced Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 49 officials to renounce their monopoly bargaining power over employees of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (a component of the nation...

Under Wolf, Pennsylvania misspent half a billion in school Medicaid funds

Few people can truly imagine what $551 million is, but that is the sum that the state of Pennsylvania either mismanaged or spent erroneously of federal Medicaid funds earmarked for schools. While they argued with the Department of Health and Human Services Inspector General over this, they have not released a public statement. Money that could have helped students across the nation seems to have evaporated under then Democrat Governor Tom Wolf. Report Findings Here, via the HHS OIG report , is what they found. “Pennsylvania improperly claimed Federal funds through its Medicaid school-based health services program. Specifically, Pennsylvania claimed estimated unallowable Federal funds totaling $182.5 million because it did not support that all moments used in RMTSs and coded as Medicaid-eligible were for Medicaid-eligible health services or Medicaid administrative activities. Also, Pennsylvania improperly claimed an additional $368.9 million when it used unsupported ratios to allocate c...

Imagine the implications of believably faked audio and video used against conservatives

Well, it seems that the Democrats and their various organizations have a way to falsify what is said by people via artificial intelligence.  This   is shown  by the story of what Pikesville High School Principal Eric Eiswert in Maryland has gone through when the school Athletic Director and PE teacher Dazhon Darien used an AI program to make it sound like Eiswert was making racist and anti-Semitic rants.  There are many instances that this can be used by police to frame others, civilians can do this to people they hate, and many other ways this can be, will be, and most likely has been used. What Happened Eiswert started investigating  some   suspicious budgeting from the athletic department, along with  the removal of  a coach without the  principal’s  approval.  When Darien  started  realizing the investigation was happening and going against him, an email went out to three teachers with an audio track that was suppose...
