Facts to give to those that doubt how bad the Mexican border has become

Here are the facts and links covered in my May 6 podcast. Watch the Rumble video to listen in.

The news organizations that make up what is referred to as mainstream media consistently works to keep up the liberal narrative, not the truth anymore. When the truth gets too big, they do end up having to cover it, which is what is happening with the crisis at the Southern border, even though conservatives have been telling everyone there was a problem for far over a decade. Here are some of what NBC is saying, with the facts that show how bad the border has become with lax polices from Democrats.

NBC Article

Here, via a Yahoo aggregation article, is what NBC has had to say about the Southern border.

An NBC News analysis of newly released data from the Department of Homeland Security shows a fundamental shift. Before the pandemic, roughly 9 in 10 migrants crossing the border illegally (that is, between ports of entry) came from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador — the four countries closest to the border. Those countries no longer hold the majority: As of 2023, for the first time since the U.S. has collected such data, half of all migrants who cross the border now come from elsewhere globally.”

The greatest numbers have come from countries farther away in the Americas that have never before sent migrants to the border at this scale. In the 2019 fiscal year, for example, the number of Colombians apprehended illegally crossing the border was 400. In fiscal 2023, it exploded to 154,080 — a nearly four-hundred-fold increase.”

But they come, too, from countries in Africa, Eastern Europe and every region in Asia. There have been dramatic increases in the number of migrants from the world’s most populous countries: Between fiscal 2019 and 2023, the number of migrants from China and India grew more than elevenfold and fivefold, respectively. And some countries that previously sent negligible numbers of migrants to the U.S. border have seen staggering increases. In fiscal 2019, the total number of people from the northwest African nation of Mauritania apprehended at the border was 20. Four years later, that number was 15,260. For migrants from Turkey, the number went from 60 to 15,430. The list goes on: More than 50 nationalities saw apprehensions multiplied by a hundred or more.”

Experts and U.S. government officials attribute this explosive growth in large part to the pandemic, which provoked mass migration around the world, adding serious challenges to an immigration system already beleaguered by a decade of severe backlogs. Another major factor is the massive expansion of transcontinental smuggling networks, itself fueled by widespread digital technology.”

Committee Findings

Here, via a House Committee on Homeland Security press release, is what they found about the border in 2023.

Under President Biden and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources have confirmed over 1.7 million known gotaways at the Southwest border. Even worse, in a March 2023 field hearing, then-U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz testified that the number of total gotaways could be as much as 20 percent higher than the publicly reported numbers.

In Fiscal Year (FY) 2023, CBP arrested 35,433 illegal aliens with criminal convictions nationwide, including 598 known gang members. In addition, 294 illegal aliens on the terrorist watchlist have been apprehended at the Southwest border between ports of entry since the beginning of FY 2021—and those are only the individuals Border Patrol agents have caught. Not only are dangerous individuals attempting to cross our border, but deadly drugs are too. Last fiscal year, CBP, including Air and Marine Operations, seized 27,293 pounds of poisonous fentanyl coming across the Southwest border—enough to kill around 6 billion people. Notably, federal officials estimate they are only able to seize 5-10 percent of all fentanyl smuggled across the Southwest border.

As more illegal aliens than ever before turn themselves in to Border Patrol in order to avail themselves of Secretary Mayorkas’ mass catch-and-release policies, the chief patrol agents highlighted in their interviews the national security threats posed by the illegal aliens who still avoid apprehension, and what their backgrounds and intentions may be.

Wray Testimony

Here, via another House Committee on Homeland Security press release, is part of the testimony from FBI Director Christopher Wray on the border issues.

In his opening line of questioning, Chairman Green questioned Wray on the dangers posed by the millions of known gotaways at the Southwest border:

Since January 2021, approximately 1.8 million illegal alien gotaways who evaded border patrol and entered our country, and this doesn’t even account for the unknown gotaways, which former Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz testified before this Committee could be about 20 percent of the [total] number. Meaning the real number of gotaways is well over two million. Can the FBI guarantee the American people that known or suspected terrorists, including any from Hamas or other tour groups, or not amongst those gotaways?”

Wray answered:

The group of people that you’re talking about are a source of great concern for us. That’s why we are aggressively using all 56 of our joint terrorism task forces.”

Chairman Green continued:

But there’s really no way for you to guarantee Hamas isn’t in them. … Do you think that number, that increased number increases the threat to the American people?”

Wray answered:

I think any time you have a group of people in the United States we don’t know nearly enough about, that is a source of concern for us.”

Chairman Green continued:

So, wording it maybe another way if that number were lower and the border wasn’t as open as it is, and we’d be safer?”

Wray answered:

I think greater fidelity about who is coming into this country and how they are getting in is essential.”

Chairman Green continued:

Those individuals on that [terrorist] watchlist that we talk about, why do you think four years before this, there were only eleven and suddenly there were 294 in the past few years? Why do you think that is so?”

Wray answered:

I can tell you the threats that come from the other side of the border are very much consuming FBI field offices, not just in the border states.”

Chairman Green asked:

I agree. If I heard you correctly, what you just said is that every state is a border state now. Is that what you just said?”

Wray concluded:

I didn’t put it quite that way, but the threats that come from the other side of the border are affecting every state, yes.”

Russian Nationals

Here, via a Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime article, is what is happening with Russians coming across the Southern border.

On 11 May 2023, a Trump-era US health policy known as Title 42 – which allowed authorities to turn back migrants at the border as part of measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 – will be lifted as the current administration ends the COVID public health emergency. This is likely to drive an increase in irregular migration through the country’s already overwhelmed south-west border. Despite restrictions on crossing the border, the flow of undocumented migrants to the US reached record levels in 2022, and nationalities seeking to reach the US became more diversified.

According to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data, there were over 2.3 million encounters with irregular migrants at the southern border in 2022. Although Russian nationals constituted just 1 per cent of these, their numbers represented a fourfold increase compared to the year preceding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. As of March 2023, Russian nationals had reached a record high, accounting for 30 500 migrant encounters, a dramatic increase from 467 in 2020. Given the current political context in Russia, the share of its nationals among migrants is likely to continue rising, fuelled by asylum seekers who flee political persecution at home.

Migration flows from Central Asia, particularly Uzbekistan, have also increased in recent years. In 2021, the CBP’s Yuma Sector border area in south-west Arizona registered an uptick in irregular crossings of Uzbekistan nationals. Uzbek authorities have reported arrests of people in Uzbekistan who offer illegal avenues for migrants to reach the US via Mexico.

More Nationalities

The sieve that is the southern border has far more than Russians and terrorists. Here, via the Pew Research Institute, is the other groups coming.

Venezuelans, in particular, stand out. Nearly 47,000 migrant encounters in December 2023 involved citizens of Venezuela, up from about 6,000 a year earlier. The number of encounters involving Venezuelans was second only to the approximately 56,000 involving Mexicans in December 2023.

There has also been a sharp increase in encounters with citizens of China, despite its distance from the U.S.-Mexico border. The Border Patrol reported nearly 6,000 encounters with Chinese citizens at the southwestern border in December 2023, up from around 900 a year earlier.

There comes a point where the American people need to realize that the Southern border has been at crisis levels for years, with criminals and terrorists using it far more than good people. As was shown here, the border has far more than people considered Hispanic crossing over, which is a danger to all citizens of this nation. Instead of allowing this, it needs to be ended, but that is not what Secretary Mayorkas wants, as shown by his actions.

The government employee union with more power than the American people Part 6

To get members and dues for their political purposes, the SEIU has used illegal tactics over the years. They have been taken to court many times, yet they persist every chance they get. The reason they do this is to gain more and more power, along with grabbing as much money as they can from the members to use for political purposes. They have already stated how they are using all of this in the article I recently wrote, which means people need to know what is happening. Kaiser Permanente The SEIU and Kaiser Permanente worked together to force employees to join the union before 2006. Both were taken to court and smacked down. Here is what occurred, via a National Right to Work release.  In a victory for employee free choice, a group of workers aided by the National Right to Work Foundation have forced Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 49 officials to renounce their monopoly bargaining power over employees of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (a component of the nation...

Under Wolf, Pennsylvania misspent half a billion in school Medicaid funds

Few people can truly imagine what $551 million is, but that is the sum that the state of Pennsylvania either mismanaged or spent erroneously of federal Medicaid funds earmarked for schools. While they argued with the Department of Health and Human Services Inspector General over this, they have not released a public statement. Money that could have helped students across the nation seems to have evaporated under then Democrat Governor Tom Wolf. Report Findings Here, via the HHS OIG report , is what they found. “Pennsylvania improperly claimed Federal funds through its Medicaid school-based health services program. Specifically, Pennsylvania claimed estimated unallowable Federal funds totaling $182.5 million because it did not support that all moments used in RMTSs and coded as Medicaid-eligible were for Medicaid-eligible health services or Medicaid administrative activities. Also, Pennsylvania improperly claimed an additional $368.9 million when it used unsupported ratios to allocate c...

Imagine the implications of believably faked audio and video used against conservatives

Well, it seems that the Democrats and their various organizations have a way to falsify what is said by people via artificial intelligence.  This   is shown  by the story of what Pikesville High School Principal Eric Eiswert in Maryland has gone through when the school Athletic Director and PE teacher Dazhon Darien used an AI program to make it sound like Eiswert was making racist and anti-Semitic rants.  There are many instances that this can be used by police to frame others, civilians can do this to people they hate, and many other ways this can be, will be, and most likely has been used. What Happened Eiswert started investigating  some   suspicious budgeting from the athletic department, along with  the removal of  a coach without the  principal’s  approval.  When Darien  started  realizing the investigation was happening and going against him, an email went out to three teachers with an audio track that was suppose...
